Inpatient DRG Training Program (IPDRGTP) & CCS Certification Training

Application of standardized codes for diagnoses and procedures is an important process in the HIM Department of every medical facility. 

AHIMA offers many credentials in various specialties and CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) certificate is the most popular that showcases coding skills in Inpatient medical records.

IIHMC offers customized training program that suits every individual to achieve CCS certificate by gaining required knowledge.

IIHMC aims to empower the students by providing necessary practical knowledge through live classes where students get opportunity to make use of their precious time.

Prerequisites: CPC or equivalent certificate with minimum one year experience in coding

New batch starts 15th of every month.

Duration: 2 hours a day, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) and total of 40 Hours

Certificate of Attendance: Certificate will be issued at the end of the program.

Course Objective

Course Description:

The student will learn principles of clinical coding related to the three main code systems: CPT, ICD-10-CM Code Set and ICD-10-PC. This course is recommended for anyone who is preparing for a career in clinical coding for Inpatient/Hospital coding and strongly recommended for anyone who is preparing for AHIMA’s CCS certification examination.

Course Objectives:

• Identify the purpose of the ICD-10-CM, CPT, and ICD-10-PC coding systems
• Understand and apply the official coding guidelines of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and ICD-10-PC coding systems
• Provide practical application of coding systems in Inpatient and Hospital Outpatient medical records including surgery reports.
