CPC - Medical Coding Certification Training

Application of standardized codes for diagnoses and procedures is an important process in the HIM department of every medical facility. 

CPC certificate from AAPC is suitable for aspiring candidates to get into clinical coding profession.

IIHCM offers customized training program that suits every individual to achieve CPC certificate by gaining required knowledge.

IIHCM aims to empower the students by providing necessary practical knowledge through live classes where students get opportunity to make use of their precious time.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of medical terminology, preferably graduates from medical science

New batch starts 15th of every month.

Duration: 2 hours a day, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) and total of 80 Hours

Certificate of Attendance: Certificate will be issued at the end of the program.

Internship:  We provide internship post certfication to prepare you job ready for one project. Duration of internship is one month.

Course Objective

Course Description:

The student will learn principles of clinical coding related to the three main code systems: CPT, ICD-10-CM Code Set and HCPCS Level II. This course is recommended for anyone who is preparing for a career in clinical coding for a physician’s office/Outpatient coding and strongly recommended for anyone who is preparing for AAPC’s CPC certification examination.

Course Objectives:

• Identify the purpose of the ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems
• Understand and apply the official coding guidelines of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II
• Provide practical application of coding systems in outpatient medical records including Physician office visits and surgery reports.

• Healthcare Delivery Systems
• Review of basic Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Medicine and Surgery
• Overview of ICD-10-CM
• Applying the ICD-10-CM Guidelines
• Introduction to CPT®, HCPCS Level II, and Modifiers
• Coding office visits and Surgery reports
• Review Exam
